Don't Ask

I know it's midnight, but all I'm doing is chatting on Face Book, and I figured I might as well say something, since I haven't posted since Wednesday.

Hi.

Bye.

Just kidding, I won't do that. Just want to tell you guys that I'm so happy. You wanna know why? Of course you don't. I'm back in the J-Pop phase (Japanese Pop Music). It's awesome.

Long live Vocaloid!

Early Morning Update

Not that any of you guys care, but school starts today for my district. Yup, in about 40 minutes, I'll head out to the bus stop and go to school! I love school so much and I've been really bored, so this should make me happy.

I don't really have anything else to talk about except that I've got a class with Beatlechick and two or three classes with Ewok.

Later... *sigh*

Monday, August 22

I'm Excited. I Just Don't Look It.

So, hi guys. I know I haven't posted in about a week, so I'll make up for it. Well, no never mind. I'll just write.

Reasons for my Excitement:

1) School starts on Wednesday. I love school, and can't stand summer sometimes. This will give me something to do.
It'll also be kinda interesting because I have some new teachers this year, and I didn't get to go to the walk - around, so it's gonna be a challenge finding every thing. Luckily, my friend's mom gave me a map.

2) I got to see the movie for The Help yesterday. Even though they had to leave out some parts of the book, they got the message across extremely well. I cried three times, laughed a ton, and sat next to my mom, holding her hand at the sad parts. Again people, read The Help. You will love it.

3) I got to go to my first anime convention on Saturday! It's a very small con called Ramencon. Now, they didn't have the Haruhi Hair Ribbons like I wanted and would spend any amount of money for, so I was pretty disappointed. So my sister bought me Orihime Inoue's Hair Pins. The little blue, six - pointed stars that she wears. If you look at my Rant on Bleach, you'll see them.
I also got to meet and get the autograph of a voice actor named Travis Willingham. He is most famous for providing the voice of Col. Roy Mustang, in FullMetal Achemest. My older sister is an artist and drew Travis a picture of Roy Mustang (doesn't he have the coolest name ever?), and when she gave it to him, he gave her a hug. And another for a picture. And another when we were leaving. All in all, it was one of the best days of her life.

So, there it is. I'm still an otaku. I still love reading. I still want to go back to school. I still complain. My life. Live Alive.

Bye.

Amazing

So, the other day, I was sick, and stated that reading The Help by Kathrine Stockett was making me feel better. Well, this morning, I was woken up at seven thirty by my lovely sister, and we hung out until she had to go to Driver's Ed. After she left, I sat and read The Help, and finished it.

There's no way I would spoil the ending for you guys, I'm just going to say, that I was so shocked by it, I was speechless, and before I knew it, I was crying. The ending was such a surprise to me. I had no idea that what happened would actually happen. But it did. I was kinda like a slap to the face.

You know, part of the final chapters, I really liked the turn of events, but at the very end, I was just bawling, because after everything, I was just left there to wonder, and marvel at the realism and all the aspects of this book.

I find myself so connected to the characters now, but especially Aibileen. I have a love for her like Mae Mobely does. This woman is so wise, and respected by so many people, even when they question her decisions. And when she is tested, she stays cool on the outside despite the fact she is freaking out on the inside.

So, that is my love for The Help. Maybe you'll read it too. Maybe not. But hey. Four paragraphs? You only ever get that out of me when it comes to Haruhi Suzumiya. That's pretty good, for a five-hundred page book.

On another note, last night, my friend Laura and I sat around the big computer in my house for three hours, laughing our heads off at....

A Very Potter Musical

It is a musical written, composed, and performed by college students who just so happen to love the Harry Potter series and think that it's totally awesome. This compresses aspects of all seven books into a musical in two acts, parodying everything along the way. They took memorable aspects of the series and adapted them for their play. The Tri-Wizard Tournament (Mixed with the House Cup tournament), the Yule Ball, and of course, Professor Quirrel and Voldemort.

The play is on Youtube if you just search for A Very Potter Musical and what act and part you want to watch. Note, that this should only be viewed by peoples the age of thirteen or older.

Oh, yeah. By the way, this play is so funny, it'll rock your face off.

Alright, now I'm done. I'll be back in a couple of days. Bye.

The Return of Haruhi Suzumiya

So, you guys know I've been gone for a while, right? I took a little break from blogging and writing pointless words for no one to read. Well, I'm officially back (as you probably already guessed), and I'm really excited to be back. For specific reasons.

Yesterday, my throat was hurting so much it was killing me to death, so I decided to be really lazy and lay around on the red netbook (like I'm doing right now). I was looking at the good ole blog here, and saw my Rant on TMOHS. I thought, "Hey, what the heck?" and read through it. Then I went on TV Tropes and looked up the series. Soon after that, I went on Haruhi.Wikia and read spoilers on characters and stuff, and I felt like an otaku again! It was amazing.

I spent all of yesterday on the computer engaging in Haruhi-esque activities that I could do in my little chair. Including ordering three of the novels off of Amazon that I didn't already own. Thank you blogger. If if weren't for you, I would still be complaining about Barnes&Noble not having the book in yet.

About two months ago, The Rampage of Haruhi Suzumiya was released.
About one month ago, I discovered this.
Present, I have just paid for not only this book, but the two books that came before it in chronological order (Boredom and Disappearance). I am a happy child now.

......  ***  ......

So, I was talking to Ewok yesterday, and no one who goes to our school has gotten their schedule yet. I may be panicking a little bit, but really. School starts two weeks from tomorrow, and I really want to go back. I've got so much to wait for this week. My novels, and also my school schedule. I already know who two of my teachers are gonna be, but the rest are a mystery...
Well, I could guess at a couple, and there are a few that I'm hoping for, but for now, I'm not sure. I won't be until that GOSH-DARN LETTER comes in the mail.

I guess I'll just have to be patient for a little while...

Bye.

Music, Books, and All That Jazz

Gosh darn-it.

I've been listening to so much music recently. I've found a couple of new songs that I love. Quite a few by my new favorite band, Linkin Park. I love them so much. I've liked their music for a while, but I've declared them to be my favorite. So, new songs are...

1. Arms - Christina Perri

2. Stop and Stare - One Republic

3. In Between - Linkin Park

4. Monster - Paramore

5. Iridescent - Linkin Park

6. Boston - Augustana

Numbers four and five were both songs in the newest Transformers movie. I heard them in the credits, and fell in love. Number six was a song I had heard the chorus to, but never really listened to; so I found it, and figured it out on the piano.

That's how I've been spending my days, except today. Today, I feel like crap. With a head ache, a mild fever, and having slept terribly last night, I'm not in the best mood. Reading The Help made me feel a little better. I watched like, three movies, and they didn't help squat.

I'm reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett because my mom read it and said it was amazing. The movie comes out on the tenth, so I figured I'd finish if I read about one-hundred pages a day. I'm so excited for the movie. Page two-hundred, and I can't wait. But I also can't go until I finish the book. Mother said that I have to have it read by the time the movie comes out, so we can go see it. I'm getting there.

I haven't actually been doing a lot of reading recently. This is the only serious reading I've done since I re-read The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya at camp. I even made the book a special book jacket in Book Arts class. Proof of how much I love that book. I have virtually no artistic talent, so I just did what I knew how to do. Make a simple, yet cool looking design. And one day, when I own all of the books, I'll make a jacket for each and every one of them.

Jeez, I want to go back to school. Where I can see Ribco and Garett and everyone else on a daily basis. My wonderful mother and father keep bugging me because I haven't been going outside and doing things with people. No. I've resided on the computer. Not blogging, but sitting on Face Book and You Tube, watching videos, listing to music, and most of all, doing nothing productive whatsoever. Story of my summer life.

I do detest summer. I really don't like having ten weeks of absolutely nothing. 'Cause that's all I'll do. Nothing. I don't particularly like to be lazy, but when there is nothing, that is what I become. A lazy bum who sits in the same chair for hours, chatting, and watching abridged series on You Tube.

Okay, I'm done. I feel kinda hot, so I'm gonna lay down for a little while. Later.

Back, and Just About the Same as Before

Holy cheese, it sure has been a while since I visited this sad excuse for a website.

I'm back. I was gone to many corners of the world while I wasn't blogging. Well, sorta. Anyway, I kinda missed my crazy readers and even crazier followers. I just didn't feel like blogging.

Come to think of it, I don't feel like blogging much now, so I bid you farewell.

Accomplishment

Hey guys, I'm back.

So one thing that has made my life extremely difficult, and not as good as it could have been has finally been solved. I learned how to braid hair. Yes, I'm afraid that my whole life I've not been able to twist hair in a fashionable way. Until but a few days ago, I had no idea how to do that. But one of my friends braided my hair, and I discovered how to, by watching her. Now, I braid a section of my hair off every day, just to make sure I don't forget how to do it.

In other news, I was watching a bit of The Simpson's Movie. Then my sister made me change the channel.

I'm sad now. Bye.

Done, For a While, at Least

So, I'm home from camp. As you have probably noticed. I got back around noon, on Thursday, napped for three hours, wanted to post, but didn't. Same goes for yesterday. I just didn't end up getting around to it. Plus, I was..

Partyin', partyin'. Yeah!

Sorry, but I really did have a party to go to last night. And, it was Friday, so I had to make that reference. It looks like I don't have much going on, except another camp in mid July. That'll be pretty good.

Hey everyone. I'm gonna write this post, though it's totally unnecessary. Oh well.

So, I was riding in the car with my friends, and a Slugbug passed by. They don't know how to play...

Gone

We're off to see the WORLD OF OZ.

...Kinda

My family is off on vacation in Michigan. We're staying in a small cabin by Duck Lake, with lots of places to walk around and appreciate the forest by the lake. I'm all settled in for the week, and I'm pretty sure the rest of my family is, too.

The cabin is small, but pretty cozy. The theme of Coca-Cola is over-powering, and has infected the curtains and dishes. Yeah, there's also a ton of wood. Like, everywhere.

I don't have much else to say today. Sorry that this was pretty boring, but I'm on vacation. Bye.

Those Theatre Days

Hello everyone!! I'm happy because my previous post has gotten 23 page views individually. Pretty cool, right?

So recently, I've been spending the majority of my daytime working on a theatre production with a local dance and performing arts studio. Our opening night is Thursday, which makes me relatively nervous, since today is Monday. Oh well. My parts aren't very big. The play is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. I really like how it's coming along. I have to say, my favorite song is one I'm not in. It's called Those Canaan Days. You won't understand it unless you see the play or movie. The movie has DONNY OSMAND!!!!!! I love him!!!!!!!

I'm done. I have to go back to rehearsal soon. Bye.

Homework That I Don't Mind Doing

It's summer now. My friends and I are out of school. I have a play to work on, but there's something else that I've decided to do more voluntarily.

My good friend Jessica (or as Ewok oh so lovingly called her, Miss Cha-ching), wants to form a band. I was invited to be a part of it, though we haven't actually met up. I'd play piano, and she would sing. I'm hoping that she learns to play bass guitar soon...

Anyway, there's a song called Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri. It came out about a year ago. So, I've been slaving over the piano- recently relocated to my living room- trying to figure the piano accompaniment to Jessica's beautiful singing. I really love the song, so I don't mind spending time working on it. I just hope it sounds good.

Desperately Waiting for the End

It is almost summer. Uhg...

I really don't like the warm weather as much as weather in the 40-60 degrees range. 70+ is just too hot for me. The good part about summer is, school is out. And it just so happens that Tuesday is the last day of school for me, Ewok, and Gertrude. I don't know about Nai. It's probably different for each school system.

I can't really grasp the concept of not going to school. It's like our job. Being out of work for like nine weeks will be really hard. I need to get a swimsuit. Bye.

The New Face of Face

Yeah...

So, for those of you who know me, or at least know what I look like, you know I hate my hair. A lot. Each strand of hair holds my hatred. That's the only thing I get mad at, so I don't have as much of a temper. I take it all out on my hair, and get too tired of being mad to be mad at anyone else. It's fantastic, but that might all end.

I'm going to get bangs.

All that I'm gonna have done is my general hair shorter, only by an inch or two, and get bangs that rest at my eyebrows. I think that should frame my face well. I've been wanting to get bangs for a while, and now my mom said, "Okay." Well, the bangs will curl up like the rest of my hair does, and I'll probably have to straiten them everyday with the straightener that I can't find. This'll be fun.

No really, I think it'll look good, and if not, I've got the summer to grow them back out.

Gotta go now. Second to last day of school, here I come.

I Laugh in the Face of Face

So yesterday, as many of you guys know, was supposed to be when, according to this one guy, the  good people went to heaven, and the bad people stayed on a rotten, lonely Earth.

Or, not.

I'm still alive, and so are my wonderful friends, and so is Leonardo DiCaprio, so everything is fine. This is just gonna go down like the 2012 myth. In the year 2012, no one is gonna die because the Mayans couldn't count any further. I blame them. The world will not come to a catastrophic end any time soon, I'm sure, because I'm Haruhi Suzumiya, and I kinda like this world.

Oh yeah, I gotta add this really quick. The new Pirates of the Caribbean movie was AWESOME.

I know this post was rather short, but I have to type something up for school, and I think I've put it off long enough.

My Dearest Darlingest Gertrude Who

Dear Gertrude,

It has been made clear to me that you are going through a state of untimely and inconvenient melancholy; and with this problem arising, I feel the need to put in my two cents, and attempt to make your sadness go away, or at least decrease.

Okay, forget the  Jane Austen writing, that's too hard.

Now, let's get down to business. Today at lunch, you seemed really uncomfortable, and not exactly yourself. I've come up with a hypothesis as to why:

It was my fault.

In a previous blog post of mine, The Four No More, I used you as an example to illustrate the "Inconsistent Friend," I so unkindly put, and I figured that you wouldn't mind, and would use it to improve upon yourself. Dead wrong. I was the one being inconsistent, rude, and very obviously and intentionally mean. I don't know what in the world, heaven, Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, future, past, or present possessed me to say something so rude. In fact, you seem to have close to the same sense of humor around me as you do around the opposite gender (that was one of the points I touched on in the post).

You said the everyone hates you. Well, Gertie, I have a list prepared for you to contradict this statement.

  • Alex: He doesn't hate you. He talks to you everyday at lunch.
  • Jane: SHE LOVES YOU.
  • Jessica: She's one of your best friends.
  • Ewok:... Yeah, you know... yeah.
  • Garett: He's awesome, and he considers you a friend.
  • Patrick: He's become a really good friend of yours. I can tell.
  • Jenica: Dude, she's awesome, and loves you.
  • Taylor/Tameshia/Terry/Tatiana: Need I say anymore?
  • Laura: She sits with you on the bus, and you guys are still really close.
  • Raj: Dude.
And last, and certainly the least of all: ME.

Though there is a huge difference in our beauty, shape, and charisma ( you surpass me in all of those categories), our hearts are the same. We both love The Big Three.

Sincerely,
Cami E. Errant

The Four No More

Alright, I figure you guys'll want some back story on this one, so I'll give it to you.

Do you hate it when people act differently in front of different people? Well, I don't hate it, but it tends to get on my nerves a bit. I have a group of friends, and I don't understand why, but it tends to happen a lot. I guess it just depends on where we are, and who we're with. I try my hardest to be consistent, but I might bring up different conversations around different people, because one person will get the joke, and another won't. But I don't think my persona in general changes, does it?

Friday night, I went to my friend's dance recital and spent the night at her house. We really, just hung out in the back room, playing music. She sang, and I was on keyboard. The song was Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri. We stayed up for three and a half hours rehearsing, until it was beautiful, and I knew all the chords I needed to know. The next day, I went with three other friends to the mall. We were the four goddesses. The Goddess of Music (Gertrude), The Goddess of Fashion (Jessica), The Goddess of Books (Laura), and The Goddess of Wit (Me, Cami). We were a flawless group of four inseparable friends.

And then, there was another sleep over.

We spent the night at Laura's house. There was an addition to the group: Jane. Jane is a sweet girl. Tall, beautiful brown hair, fair skin. Really pleasant to be around. We all played Glee: Karaoke Revolution for a couple of hours, did make up, and by the time we were finished with those activities, it was after ten.

Two of my friends, Fashion and Music, called a guy they barely knew and talked to him for a couple of hours. It was beyond midnight when the conversation stopped. Just because there was a guy on the phone, the two were acting perverted. Not because it was late at night, or because they had Mountain Dew. No. It was a guy. If there is a guy around a lot of people I know, including these two, will immediately switch gears to Boy Crazy Mode. I don't really like that mode. You have to fight to be noticed amongst your closest of friends. That's not right. I'm sorry, but no. I'm sticking with my Power Trio.

Curtain

As you all know- because I told you- last night was Five Star Awards Night. Awards night usually wraps up a season, but since it's close to the end of the year, it wrapped up Five Star until school starts again in the fall. By the end, I had won no awards, but had been recognized for my grades. I was nominated for Integrity, but someone else, most likely much more deserving, got it. J-j-j-j-Jenica was nominated for and award, and so was wierdoblogersarah. MsMcCartney got nominated for the biggest award out there: Student of the Year. An older student got the award, but MsMcCartney had the sweetest expression on her face. At the end, she and I were crying, wanting to go back next week, not next year.

This morning on the radio, Five Star went on the air with a pretty cool radio caster, to talk about the awards night, tell stories, and collect gifts of money from listeners. My mom donated fifty dollars. Twenty-five for each of her girls who were involved with Five Star. The newscaster had gotten a gift of 3000 dollars to double the money each time someone calls in, and donate it themselves as well. Pretty cool, huh?

I'll have to go to school soon, so I guess I'll see you later.
